Illustrations by Barbara Jones (1912-1978) for her classic children's book ''Twit and Howlet and the Balloon', originally published by Longman Young Books in 1970 and now republished.
This is a beautiful book with single colours combined with expressive and detailed line work. It tells of twin owls, Twit and Howlet's adventures, building and flying a hot air balloon.
