Portraits of acorns

This Autumn I have been focusing my attention on soil and trees. Gathering many seeds, acorns, conkers, beachnuts to plant. The acorns I have photographed and marveled at their individuality and beauty. I especially love these contact sheet collections. Freya and I have been having gathering competitions, counting them and weighing them. Now to get them all tucked into their soil beds so that hopefully in the spring we have the start of a new forest.
