Chiho Nishiwaka is a Japanese illustrator who has just completed her MFA at Edinburgh College of Art. Chiho is also a musician and her love and knowledge of music influences her illustration.
"For me, drawing is like the playing of musical instruments. I instantly judge which tone is effective and which line feels comfortable, before following art theory with logic. Every decision is made in each moment, like playing the piano. Essentially, I trust my feelings, although knowledge and logic are present in the background." Chiho Nishiwaka
