Starting from the bottom up.
I have been thinking lately about healthy soil.
Every day I pass a solicitors office on the way to work. It is in a grand old house and what would have been the front garden is barren, except for one weak and sickly rose plant. The soil never even supports what would be called weeds, it is poisoned and dead.
This has lead to me being interested in soil and what it needs to be a healthy, vibrant and diverse environment. All those tiny creatures, so often labeled as pests, whose lives help to support us by spreading fungi, seeds, bacteria and breaking down dead matter; feeding the soil that supports us all.
So here is my illustration of healthy soil, I may do more, I love drawing happy earthworms.
