Sunny Sunday

This makes me smile, it is like a bee photobomb.

It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday and it looks like it is going to be the same today, a reprieve from the fast approaching winter.
We went to the beach and picked the biggest brambles (blackberries) ever.
Last week I made sorbet and it is all gone and everyone is demanding that I make more. I only made it because I forgot to add them to my apple crumble but it is the best.
So here is the recipe if you are in the autumn of the northern hemisphere and can pick some blackberries.

8oz (220g) caster sugar
300ml water
Approximately 1lb (450g) blackberries.
Boil the sugar and water add the blackberries (I added a sprig of mint) boil for a minute.
strain cool and then either pop ion an ice cream machine or stick in a container in the freezer and stir with a fork every hour until completely frozen.
