Feredoun Ave's works are depicting a character Rostam from Shahnameh, an 11th century epic poem telling the mythical history of Persia. For the embodiment of Rostam he has chosen a Pahlavan (Iranian) wrestler, an icon that Feredoun has used often in his art.
