Antique diaries are the main medium of Rikkianne Van Kirk's 'You Sentimental Idiot' project. Rikkianne inherited the first diary from her Great Aunt, the rest have been found in antique shops. Because of her use of silhouette images her work reminds me of Bill Traylor.

"Some drawings are inspired by direct quotes from the diaries while others are what I imagine the writer would have seen.
