Kokeshi Matches
Now I want to play with matches!
In 1994 this idea was conceived and is now massively popular, resulting not only in successful products but also two books about how to be a hand made entrepreneur. Just shows how a little bit of thought can turn such a tiny mundane product into something really special.

Sarah Bridgland

Sarah Bridgland's work shares some of the characteristics of Karen Mabon's as both are printed, and have a similar palette.Sarah's work has a wonderful crispness to it despite its complexity.
Comic book, Pop up sculpture made from an appealing carton of staples or other found wonders.
Sarah Bridgland is on at Man & Eve, London, from this Friday until 1st of August. http://www.sarahbridgland.com/
