Michaela Kukovičová

These are some pages from a wonderful book illustrated using paper cuts by Michaela Kukovičová and published by Baobab. Michaela  uses many techniques and is a master of collage. This book is full of primitive charm and brings all the wonder of the mythical Hans Christian Andersen's paper-cuts and storytelling.

Michaela Kukovičová

I usually stick to three illustrations for a blog post, but I love this book so much! 'Cirkus AbraAFRK' by Danill Kharms illustrated by Michaela Kukovičová, so much I want it to pour over you. Michaela's illustrations have all of the joy and naivety of Ivor Cutler and Spike Milligan's tiny illustrations to their jokes and random thoughts.
They are life to me, moments of magic doodled down, capturing those odd seconds of laughter and wonder.
