Mick Manning I

Mick Manning is the partner of Brita Granström and they work together dovetailing skills to create fantastic children's books that are packed with information and created for maximum engagement. Their books due to the subjects and format are particularly good for engaging slow readers.
Here are some examples of Mick's prints for St Judes.

Brita Granström I

Brita Granström was at picture hooks on Saturday and we were treated to her and her husbands illustrations and books. Britta was initially trained as a painter and her practice involves both painting and illustration.

“I’ve always had these twin careers and they feed each other, the illustrations and the paintings. The paintings are quite separate, a different way of expressing myself. Illustration is an applied art but I do love both.” Brita Granström

Here I have chosen her works from shop interiors.

Brita Granström and Mick Manning,

It was a joy to see and meet Hannah Coulson and her work but it was also wonderful to meet Brita Granström and Mick Manning learn about their collaborative creative process and books.

Britta and Mick successfully pool their talents and build books together. They have been involved in creating many non-fiction books, including a very personal one to Mick about his father's involvement in the second world war called Tail-end Charlie.
