Anne Crahay IV

Belgian illustrator Anne Crahay has been selected by the Bologna Book Fair this year, for "Suzie's Smile" (CotCotCot éditions, 2019). I have blogged this artists work many times over the years and I am thrilled for her.

'To reassure those around her, Susie invents a thousand paper smiles to replace her own, which has disappeared. "Every morning, as we put on our socks, I hung a smile on my ears." Everything returns to normal with these defensive smiles. Until the day when the paper smile flies away and Susie finally has the opportunity to really talk to her parents about everything she had never told them.'

Manon Gauthier VIIII

""I am a polar bear... " All of us in 2024

All the animals and humans in "All of Us" were created with the same basic form, which is also that of the narrator, the animal cell.

Because all animals and humans have one thing in common: the animal cell. We are connected by that cell, which is at the heart of all of us. Despite the differences, living beings find themselves at the very basis of their identity.

Let's take care of all of us💞Let's take care for All of us. Manon Gauthier

Beautiful sketchbook people by Gaia Alari, who has a fantastic instagram gallery to explore.

I also adore her studies of legs, long ago I had a time just painting peoples legs and such studies always appeal to me.
