“Henrietta and the Hat” 1966 written by Mabel Watts.(1906-1994) Illustrated by illustrated by Jane Miller. Mabel Watts was born in London in 1906, her father was in the army and so she moved many times in England and Canada. Mabel began writing children's books in 1950. Her first book, Dozens of Cousins was illustrated by Roger Duvoisin. Her next five books were published under the pseudonym of Patricia Lynn. Many of her books are based on her experiences growing up in England and Canada.
