I have been north, to what was briefly a land of ice in its various and wonderful forms. Also a place of dark, with a maximum of 6 hours daylight and mostly much less than this.
There was lots of beauty and wonder to be seen and enjoyed in the ice of the frozen time between Christmas and New Year.
