Laura Carlin XII

The Song of the Nightingale written by Tanya Landman and stunningly illustrated by Laura Carlin, is a tale about how the animals got their colours published by Walker Books 2020.

This tale reminded me very much of one of my son's favorite stories 'Greedy Zebra' published in 1984, one of a series of African animal tales written by Mwenye Hadithi and illustrated by Adrienne Kennaway. I love these stories that make children think about evolution and the wonder of the world and all those things that we take for granted.
