Last week I was involved with making a class as part of Carla Sonheim's new series of kids art classes which is going to be all about bugs that you can sign up for here. It features Adrian Smith, Ph.D. is an entomologist and media maker who will share some of his amazing slow-motion photography of bugs in flight. Cara Rooney is an illustrator and plaything maker based in Scotland who will share with us her wonderful pop-up bug world project! Seattle Artist Lisa Myers Bulmash will walk us through a collage project featuring endangered butterflies! And P. Marin, a children's book illustrator out of California, has us meeting and painting a tarantula! My bugs are easy to make, really good fun, and fly.
