It's all in the eyes!
Last night I went to a fantastic talk and reading by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen, hosted by the wonderful illustrator Catherine Rayner, and made even more joyful by having so many friends from many different situations in the audience.
Jon Klassen and Mac Barnett both have a great sense of humour and obviously work seamlessly as a team. Jon had great insights to share about his working practice, but also tips about working through the more tricky parts of your books by throwing a treat up ahead, something that you are looking forward to developing and drawing.
