Réber László Rajzai II


Réber László Rajzai (1920-2001) was born in Budapest, during the war he drew maps and during his imprisonment by the Russians his survival was aided by his drawings of the guards which ensured he got more food. After the war he became a cartoonist and then later started to illustrate books, going on to work on over 400 including books by Gerald Durrell and Kurt Vonnegut. His style is an elegant minimalist line accompanied by bright blocks of colour.
