Ina Hattenhauer III

Ina Hattenhauer's 'warm up' sketch from the 24th celebrating 'The Birds Wedding', a lovely celebration in the  Lausitz region of Germany where children place plates of bird food outside in the evening and in the morning they wake to find bird shaped biscuits and cakes. The wedding is supposed to be between a magpie and a raven or sometimes a blackbird and a thrush. This ancient tradition is thought to have evolved Sorbs believed souls of their dead entered birds, and so they would increase food left for the birds to feed and look after their ancestors.
