French illustrator Serge Bloch has been involved in creating a new 35 episode animation of The Bible and a graphic novel. These are some stills and the animation of Babel that has been issued ahead of the release date in November. The graphic novel is released on September the 29th. I love the combination of collage print and line drawing that Serge uses his loose humorous style is classic and reminds me of the great Saul Steinberg.
This is an interesting, fresh and creative approach to The Bibble that will no doubt appeal to a new - possibly younger - audience, avid to rediscover our ancient cultural heritage and legacy. In times of uncertainty, we hark back to the past in order to seek answers to a troubled present.
