Roger Duvoisin, 'They Put out to Sea'.

Here are some of the illustrations from Roger Duvoisin's book; 'They put out to sea', or The Story of the Map, a book that explores various seafarers and their exploration and understanding of the world. This book has mostly black and white illustrations but it does also have beautiful colour spreads, and even includes Roger's favorite, a hippopotamus.
