Hazel Terry, British Wildlife Series II: Fox

It is the summer holidays and at last I am getting the chance to focus totally on my work for a couple of weeks. Despite an eye infection I have thoroughly enjoyed 'drawing' this fox, which has been done in the same style as a badger picture that I produced in the Autumn for my father.
I chose a fox because as with my badger of the Autumn it is threatened by current politics; with the possibility that the current government will repeal the ban on fox hunting.
I say drawing but it is painted, using acrylics and a very fine brush. I am hoping to produce a series of British wildlife. This is a theme that is very close to my heart and I hope my work can be used to give support to these threatened species and their environments.

  1. I can almost feel how soft he is. Beautiful work, Terry. Can't believe they might repeal the ban!
