Kate McCarthy I

Kate McCarthy is an Australian artist from Brisbane who has learnt her lessons from the masters, adopting the techniques and approaches of children in their mark making.
"I have to work fast and I stick to the principles we had with our art when we were children- immediate, simple and direct. When we needed red, we reached for the closest red we could find and that then determines the feel and look for the rest of the piece." Kate McCarthy.
