I would love to go and meet Karina Smigla-Bobinski's interactive 'Ada'. A helium inflated orb armed with charcoal. Karina is a Polish born artist now based in Berlin who works as an intermedia artist with digital and analog media.
Ada was exhibited in Sao Paulo as part of the FILE electrical language festival.
"Once you see her in motion she just works away . . . the blacker she gets from the charcoal and the more she is handled by the visitors, the more she seems to be some kind of alive. Even I who built her, sometimes gets the illusion of her being a living thing." Karina Smigla-Bobinski (thanks)
Thanks!Today "breakfast at Terry":)is so great.
ReplyDeletehave a nice day.
so simple but festive at the same time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sensationally brilliant idea. It works ao well as an object, a performance, a drawing, and an overall installation. Would love to see it too.
