Laurent Le Deunff

These poor sculptures by French artist Laurent Le Deunff are simultaneously disturbing and appealing. They remind me of the wonderful Egyptian mummified cats. Conjured from strange ingredients such as hair, resin, chicken wire, fabric and tape, Laurent says "These natural elements give the ephemeral sculpture, generally built to last, the precariousness of life".
