Jenny Matthews's watercolour paintings are evocative of summer and her style reminds me of Elizabeth Blackadder who was one of her tutors at ECA. This summer in France we were 'fluttered' a lot by butterflies and moths passing so close that their wings skimmed against you, this experience is what Jenny's paintings remind me of.
