Feredoun Ave

This is a series of works by Feredoun Ave an Iranian artist. There are similarities in the eclectic gathering and assimilation of images in Feredoun's art and the illustrations of Parisia Mahmoudi and this is why I have chosen them.
Feredoun Ave's works are depicting a character Rostam from Shahnameh, an 11th century epic poem telling the mythical history of Persia. For the embodiment of Rostam he has chosen a Pahlavan (Iranian) wrestler, an icon that Feredoun has used often in his art.
