New Zealand’s Moeraki Boulders

In New Zealand, 40 kilometers south of Oamaru, you can see these amazing calcium carbonate spheres that have been eroded out of the cliff face. Some of these spherical boulders are over four meters in diameter and have taken approximately 65 million years to form. http://www.thunderbolts.info/tpod/2008/arch08/080418moeraki.htm
