'Paris Cat' written by Dianne Hofmeyr and illustrated by Piet Grobler and published by Tiny Owl. It is a wonderful introduction to the performing legends; Edith Piaf and Josephine Baker and to Paris in the 1920's and 1930's.
It is a lively story of a bold adventurous cat who dreams of performing and then works hard to make her dreams come true. Even creating her very own haute couture outfits from the scraps of Paris's fashion houses. The illustrations by Piet Grobler are lively too, with a great mix of bold line, collage and mixed media and lots of humor.
