JFK Turner's collections of tiny paintings remind me of the scales on a moth or butterfly wing, they are delicious fragments. His work is on exhibition at Edinburgh's
& Gallery 6 April - 1 May 2019.
"My work is concerned with the unnoticed ephemeral elements of everyday life, found objects, marks, stains and the natural effect of time. The objects I collect from the streets form the basis of my work. The paintings are not abstract - they are based on something from the real world. Anything could be subject matter - A rubber band, a screwed up piece of paper, a flap in a cardboard box. These are non-objects - just the remnants of life." JFK Turner
