Today I wanted to have some painting, these works are by Berlin based artist Kerstin Göldner, Kerstin's art has a profound sense of rest, calm and peace. Kerstin's work has wonderful exploration of colour in her paint with subtle structural lines of charcoal and pastel.

Sabine Timm II
Following on from my earlier vases of flowers post, In one of those strange coincidences I then saw on the same day Sabine Timm's wonderful two dimensional vases incorporating a strawberry leaf.
Jan Köchermann & Annemette Lichtenberg
My first post about flowers in vases today is by Jan Köchermann & Annemette Lichtenberg found at Gallery Pi. These are really primitive ceramic vases, that I originally thought were card or paper. They made me think how wonderful it would be to make pretend paper vases and place flowers in jars etc behind them.

Piu Sudo II
Love this bright, summer yellow, illustration that Piu Sudo released this morning to herald the release of a new book. This is a screenprinted illustration of a nostalgic nursery rhyme.

Annemette Lichtenberg I
A riot of line, colour and ideas, these are some examples of the work of Danish artist Annemette Lichtenberg. Annemette's works have a surreal abstraction, and are almost dream like in their boundless mix of elements from daily life.
