Today I wanted to have some painting, these works are by Berlin based artist Kerstin Göldner, Kerstin's art has a profound sense of rest, calm and peace. Kerstin's work has wonderful exploration of colour in her paint with subtle structural lines of charcoal and pastel.
Also like vases of flowers are Dutch artist Ingrid van den Brand's natural series of thread drawings.
Following on from my earlier vases of flowers post, In one of those strange coincidences I then saw on the same day Sabine Timm's wonderful two dimensional vases incorporating a strawberry leaf.
My first post about flowers in vases today is by Jan Köchermann & Annemette Lichtenberg found at Gallery Pi. These are really primitive ceramic vases, that I originally thought were card or paper. They made me think how wonderful it would be to make pretend paper vases and place flowers in jars etc behind them.
Today I am hoping to really enjoy the trees being in full 'bloom' or leaf. To remind me of how lovely this is this wonderful illustration by Tamae Mizukami.

Today I am off to photograph a wedding, a big responsibility to capture such important memories and fix them in tears and laughter of a lifetime. To celebrate, a wonderful day, this illustration by Ajar Salimi.
