Mercado De Atarazanas II: Vegtables

Having lost many of our grocery shops and markets, we have lost this whole visual beauty is selecting our food. The vegetable and fruit displays at Mercado De Atarazanas, Malaga, are like works of art, towering sculptures of different colours and shapes, tantalizing on the eye.

Mercado De Atarazanas I: Sea food

A feast for the eyes, the Mercado De Atarazanas (indoor market in Malaga) is so visually rich, I think I could quite happily spend a lifetime recording the amazing spectacle that it presents, both in terms of produce and people. Here are some of the moments I caught in the seafood section yesterday morning.

The Flower Stalls of Malaga

I am working on a series of photos on the flower stalls of Malaga. A lovely wee project to take time over in my last two days here.

Picasso

I Really enjoyed visiting the Picasso Museum in Malaga on Sunday so lovely to see his ceramics, sculptures and paintings and to think of this great artist creating these pieces that you are standing next to.
I loved the humour in his work you can imagine the twinkle in his eye as he was making some of these pieces.
The gallery is a wonderful tranquil space with a great courtyard cafe where the fattest pigeon was taking a calm bath in the water feature, it just sat there enjoying the cold water, I am sure Picasso would have drawn it was he there.

Love Letters on Prickly Pears

I am in Malaga this week with my work and yesterday spent a wild day running around getting my bearings and seeing what there was to see.
I don't see what other people see, so what I saw was all of the love letters inscribed into the leaves of prickly pears, so  . . . with love from Malaga.
