For the morning after Halloween, I thought this print by Larry Calkins was perfect. Larry Calkin's is an American artist who works in sculpture, painting, graphics he is prolific and diverse in his work.

Larry Calkins is so prolific and diverse in his creativity in the media of sculpture, painting and photography that I am slowly introducing it here. This assemblage is called 'cat mask full' Larry likes to used found objects and materials that have their own history and energy.

I cannot remember what led me to the work of Larry Calkins two or three weeks ago, but having found it I have been lost in it's different media, approaches, styles and wonder.
Larry Calkins is extremely prolific and very varied in his working media and method. 
These works are some of Larry's paper cut silhouettes, they reminded me of Hans Christian Anderson's paper cuts and they also have the same irreverence of David Shrigleys work.
