Katia Shumkova IV

'Don't pull girls' by Katia Shumkova, I love this illustration but I thought I would use its turkyness to illustrate the hell of premature Christmas hype which will have started by now.

Katia Shumkova III

Beautiful animal illustrations by Katia Shumkova, whose textured images remind me of some of the compositions of Alice and Martin Provensen.

Katia Shumkova II

Some wonderful wintery scenes from a Russian illustrator whom I greatly admire Katia Shumkova.

Katia Shumkova I

I absolutely love (SO MUCH!) the work of Russian illustrator Katia Shumkova, her work has the joy and clever naivety of all my favorite illustrators like Roger Duvoisin and Gerald Rose. Every picture makes me smile; details like the yellow lips of the netted fish and the wonderful mournful blue grey seals make me so happy.
