"I build from simple things - a piece of paper a brush- but challenge myself to explore textures, colour and techniques. I find faces and expressions fascinating, and prefer painting people to landscapes and still-life." Scott Bergey

I have been asked to make a 1960's style paper dress for a hair dressing photo shoot on Monday, I made a Mondrian style one yesterday like Yves Saint Larent's. I am enjoying it so much I have made another. This time it is an Easter Miffy Dress as I know my friend who requested it likes Miffy, here is my Easter Miffy. Might even make another . . .
And I received a fantastic dossier of fantastic illustration fresh from the Bologna Children's Book Fair (Thank you X), I am a very lucky lady.
This is a poster designed by for 1200 posters called 'Notice what you care about. Assume that many others share your dreams'. Victo Ngai is a Hong Kong illustrator who graduated last year from Rhode Island School of Design, she is now beginning a very successful illustration career with work published in the NYTimes and different magazines. I love this poster my only wish is that is was a feature length animation.

Here is a tiny selection of Bert Teunissen's Domestic Landscape series, where Bert has travelled most of Europe and Japan taking portraits of people in their domestic environments. These portraits are fascinating in terms of culture, belongings, interiors, furniture, style as well as being stunningly beautiful. Bert has been working on this project for the past 13 years and as a photographer he says that the work is all about light, for me they are all about people, but Bert is also documenting the demise of culture and tradition.
