Above: Crow I was in the DCA, Dundee today and tried to buy a piece by Melanie Tomlinson, instead thankfully I took her name, as now I know so much more and I can order the peice I want. Melanie makes these stunningly beautiful works from hand printed tin and is greatly influenced by Romanian folklore. Before now I thought that she made only jewelry but she also makes amazing automata, you can see more of her work and buy directly from her at her webpage.

Today is one of those days when the people who's talents I want to share with you, are elusive on the web. Here is one example of Karl Gustav Gjertsen's works.
Solveig Ovanger Motstand, I am thwarted in my attempts to find more examples of work by Solveig, who makes sculptural pieces out of hide and skin including fish skin. I love the plumpness of this piece.

Wonderful rings by Chaquita Nahar, who is the Head of Department Jewelry & Product design Academy of Fine Arts, Maastricht, Holland.
Wenqin Chen painted bronze, 'Upside Down' 2007

Fun cheery sculptures from etsy seller Hilary Pfeifer aka bunny with a tool belt. Now very busy making cake toppers but I love her sculptures and jewelry.

Henrique is an artist from São Paulo he became fascinated by pealing fencing, hoarding and bill boards and the textures of warping plyboard, He now uses these materials to create these stunning and disturbing instillation's. He uses 'tapumes', which in Portuguese can mean fencing, boarding, or enclosure, as a title for many of his large-scale installations. The term makes reference to the temporary wooden construction fences seen throughout the city of São Paulo where Henrique Oliviera lives.
