The Most Dangerous Species by Klas Ernflo

This is just the most fantastic campaign against pollution and littering. I have admired it for a long time. The shopping trolleys reminded me of it because they are the most prolific inhabitants of the estuary here. Klas Ernflo is an illustrator and graphic artist of great ingenuity and style. This poster was commissioned by the Government of Catalunya to raise environmental awareness and keep the Mediterranean clean.

Ptolemy Elrington Shopping Trolly Creations

Flowers that are not for girlies

Thanks Crispin, gangster tower builder of Temple, for showing me this crazy collection of flower urinals. These are created by the illustrator, animator, sculptor and artist Clark Sorensen, they are exquisitely beautiful.

The first day of Spring

My new favourite thing is climbing on board those huge flower lorries from Holland, breathing deep and letting the flowers tickle my eyes with colour.
However today I didn't take my chances I asked my local florist Canterbury Bells, Kirkcaldy, when the delivery was arriving and just caught it, have some flowers, today it is SPRING.

Lucy Carson

Having a tin day today, these domestic scenes are created by the artist Lucy Carson, using basic equipment, I love their humour and observation. I have been watching a video about lots of artists and she is one of my favourites, I would love to have a go at recycling some tins in this way, but it could be the start of a new bad habit, street combing.

Jeff Soans of Wobbly Wood

Plane inspiration by Sibusiso Punch Mbhele

Sibusiso Punch Mbhele saw his first aeroplane ages 17 and announced to his friends that he was going to make one. His determination and inspiration has taken him on an amazing journey of creativity.
Above is one of the results of this life changing passion. Sibusiso has gone from constructing planes out of wire and flattened tin cans to using wrecked vehicles to construct helicopters and his hybrid (plane/helicopter/fish) home as pictured above.

Floating Ukrainian House

This amazing structure is a cantilever barn originally created to store fertilizer. It is now rumoured to be being used as a house. I would love to stay in it, it looks so incongruous.

Baths outside or The Dutch Tub

I don't know why no one has ever told me about these or why it has taken me so long to find them, but WOW. How fantastic to have an outside bath in an overgrown tea cup with the added joy of a bonfire and if you want, room for company, tea for two. http://www.dutchtub.com/
